JBK has been growing as a manufacturer of the parts for automobiles, various industrial machineries and construction machineries, alongside of the development of the Japanese automotive industry. However the environments surrounding Japanese automotive industry has been drastically changing in the recent years. The production volume dropped sharply in 2008 and 2009 due to the Lehman shock. In the midst of the recovery, we then had the Great East Japan Earthquake. The disaster leaves us with the ensuing aftermath of various issues such as energy shortage, which might greatly impact the future of the Japanese manufactures.
When we turn our eyes to the world economy, we can also witness several big changes, such as lagging recovery of the economies in the US and Europe, political turmoil in the Middle East and the North African countries, increasing demand in the developing nations and shifts of the manufactures into those countries.
Under these circumstances, we would like to further expand our business in the South East Asia by utilizing our joint ventures both in Thailand and Indonesia as the basis of the growth. We also take active initiative to contribute to worldwide environmental preservation by promoting eco-friendly products and by energy efficient production at factories. We would like to further strengthen our customers’ confidence toward us by improving our capability in product development, production engineering and high standard quality.
